FIRE WIRE MARINE PROVIDES NEW EXOTHERMIC CUTTING ROD TO THE UNDERWATER INDUSTRY

Rochester Hills, MI (April 9, 2010) - FIRE WIRE MARINE (FWM), a Michigan-based company, announces its entry into the exothermic cutting rod market with the production of a truly innovative product. The time tested tube-and-wire configuration has been combined with a hard, yet flexible, coating called Fire-Kote. To further enhance the rod’s resistance to corrosion, debris and abuse, the rods are supplied with end caps to protect the contact surfaces and interior. These unique features offer the commercial diving, underwater construction, maritime and salvage community a safe and reliable product at very favorable pricing.
Since April of 2009, FWM has provided divers with samples and solicited their evaluations of the performance, safety and convenience of the cutting rod. Their comments and recommendations have been integrated into the FIRE WIRE MARINE Exothermic Cutting rod with Fire-Kote insulation. The response to and acceptance of the current product has been extremely positive. FWM has supplied over 50,000 rods to its customers and is currently supplying exothermic cutting rods to underwater service suppliers nationwide for both offshore and inland projects. FWM’s distributor in the Gulf States, COMMERCIAL DIVING SUPPLY of Broussard, LA, showcased the FWM rods at the 2010 Underwater Intervention Show in New Orleans in February and the exposure has generated worldwide interest as well as providing new customers and prospects.
